This is an absolutely beautiful SVT-40 made at the Tula plant in 1941. It has NOT been Arsenal Refurbished. It is NOT a Finnish captured specimen and does not have any SA markings. There are NO import markings on this rifle. This rifle has all the characteristics of a bring back but there is no paperwork to make it definitive. After 82 years, it still retains all the markings and stampings that it received on the day it was manufactured. The stock has the original date and factory stamping on one side and the serial number on the other. It still has its rich red color. There are Tula star stampings on the metal parts all over the rifle. The bolt is in the white and has the serial number on the underside and also has the serial number on the underside of the charging handle. It has all the features of an SVT made in early 1941, including the 6-port muzzle brake, Type 1 receiver, hole inside the safety switch, swivel sling mount, wider trigger guard, early version of the lower metal handguard and 8-hole upper hand guard. The receiver also has a cut that would have allowed it to accept a scope mount for the sniper version. The magazine is an orginal, non-refurbished, non-SA stamped magazine. However, it is not the correct serialized magazine that was issued with this rifle.
The bayonet is an original, as well. These are almost impossible to find and almost non-existent in the condition of this bayonet. It has Tula stampings and a serial number, but it is not the same serial number as this rifle.
Original price was: $2,800.00.$2,000.00Current price is: $2,000.00.
