Bulk Upload
Upload hundreds or thousands of listings at once using CSV spreadsheets, API integration, or Cloud Connect.
Overview
The Bulk Upload tool is designed for dealers, wholesalers, and high-volume sellers who need to add large numbers of listings efficiently. Instead of creating each listing individually through the web form, you can prepare your entire inventory in a spreadsheet and upload it all at once. The system validates your data, creates listings automatically, and provides a detailed report showing which listings were created successfully and which need corrections. Bulk Upload supports CSV and Excel file formats and can handle thousands of listings in a single upload session.
Preparing Your Spreadsheet
Download the WeaponDepot CSV template from your seller dashboard. The template includes columns for all required and optional listing fields: title, description, category, subcategory, manufacturer, model, caliber, condition (New, Used, Refurbished), price, quantity available, UPC or SKU, shipping weight, dimensions, photo URLs, and shipping options. Fill in each row with one product's information. Ensure that category and condition values match the accepted values listed in the template's reference sheet. Photo URLs must be publicly accessible web addresses pointing to your product images. For best results, prepare your images in advance and host them on a reliable image hosting service or your own website.
Uploading and Validation
Once your spreadsheet is complete, navigate to the Bulk Upload section of your seller dashboard. Upload your file and the system will run validation checks on every row. The validator checks for required fields, valid category selections, properly formatted prices, and accessible photo URLs. If any rows have errors, you will receive a detailed error report identifying the specific rows and fields that need correction. You can fix the errors in your spreadsheet and re-upload, or you can choose to upload only the valid rows and address the errors later. Successfully validated listings are created immediately and appear in your storefront within minutes.
API and Cloud Connect Options
For sellers with existing inventory management systems, WeaponDepot offers two additional methods for bulk listing management. The WeaponDepot API provides programmatic access to listing creation, updates, and inventory management, allowing you to build custom integrations with your existing tools. Cloud Connect offers pre-built integrations with popular POS and inventory management platforms used by firearms dealers, enabling real-time inventory synchronization without any custom development. Both options are ideal for dealers who want to keep their WeaponDepot listings automatically in sync with their in-store inventory.
