Back-in-Stock Alerts Guide

Never miss a restock — set up alerts for out-of-stock items, specific calibers, and manufacturers on WeaponDepot.

Setting Up Back-in-Stock Alerts

Back-in-Stock Alerts let you monitor specific items, calibers, or manufacturers and get notified the moment matching inventory becomes available on WeaponDepot. If you find an item that is currently out of stock, click the Set Alert button on the listing page. You can also create alerts based on broader criteria — for example, set an alert for any 9mm Luger ammunition from Federal, or any Glock 19 Gen 5 listing. Your alerts are managed from your account dashboard, where you can see all active alerts, edit their criteria, and delete ones you no longer need. When a seller lists a new item or restocks an existing listing that matches your alert criteria, you receive an instant notification via email and in-app notification. The alert includes a direct link to the listing so you can purchase immediately before the item sells out again. This is especially valuable for popular calibers and limited-production firearms that sell quickly.

Alert Strategies for Hard-to-Find Items

For the best results with Back-in-Stock Alerts, set up multiple alerts with varying specificity. Create a broad alert for the general category (e.g., all 6.5 Creedmoor ammunition) and a specific alert for your preferred product (e.g., Hornady ELD Match 6.5 Creedmoor 140gr). This way, you will be notified of any matching inventory while also getting immediate alerts for your top choice. Combine Back-in-Stock Alerts with your Watchlist and Saved Searches for comprehensive coverage. The Watchlist tracks specific listings you are interested in, while Back-in-Stock Alerts work at the product and category level. Together, these tools ensure you never miss an opportunity. During periods of high demand or supply shortages, Back-in-Stock Alerts become essential. Popular calibers like 9mm, 5.56 NATO, and .22 LR can sell out within minutes of being listed. Having an alert set up gives you a head start over buyers who are manually browsing.
