(This is the Mil-spec version, brand new, never used, complete set, PLUS included extra: ARC adaptors by DLP tactical which was $80 new by itself.

(NOTE: To avoid any confusion: there are different model tiers of this product in the market (such as the “Defender” version) which at first glance look similar but are a lot cheaper and you may wonder why the big price difference (regardless of new/used condition, obviously). Those cheaper models are basic civilian versions stripped down of functionality and features. This one here is the mil-spec tier with the complete feature set. If you just want regular gun-range or machine shop ear protection headsets with nothing else to it, I recommend you get one of those instead and save some money. But if you’re looking for the legit military version with full specs and capabilities for your defense kit, this one is it. As with all top-shelf military gear, the cost is usually higher because the fidelity, feature-set and durability are much higher as well. If this is the exact model you’re shopping for, then you already know the deal, and you’ll probably also notice this is a good deal for the whole set. . . . You’ll still hear any and all sounds including loud ones, but everything within a safe decibel range. The headsets externally pick up and then instantly re-transmit all sound around you without any delay at an extremely crisp & faithful audio quality inside the speakers at a safe and appropriately scaled decibel level, up to the max safety threshold. Sound reproduction is near-real in quality, except just lowered down to threshold if louder-than.

Allows full communications versatility by allowing you to talk to anyone around you with natural speech, but also by keeping your tactical radio on your vest/jacket, which is connected to the PTT (Push To Talk) device dangling below your headset and attached to it. Then, assuming the radio and headset are both turned on, you just push the button on the PTT to talk into the headset mic and it automatically transmits to radio. This way you never have to take your headset off to either talk to people physically around you or to use your radio manually (holding it to your ear), since all this functionality is seamlessly integrated at a very high-quality of make, and easy to use.

– ADDITIONALLY COMES WITH (I bought separately but included here): DLP TACTICAL HELMET ARC RAIL ADAPTORS (x2) COMPATIBLE WITH THIS MODEL.

. . . Optionally install the rail adaptors by swapping out the headband then mount each speaker directly to a modern military helmet via the ARC rail standard (see example image). Once set, it also lets you rotate each speaker (L or R, individually) out of the way from your ear easily. This adaptor is a must for anybody serious about self-defense or using these mil-spec headsets seamlessly with a tactical helmet, which is why I originally bought it separately at the same time, but since I’m selling the headset it comes as a package. I originally paid $80 for these adaptors because they are the rugged high-quality kind you want from a reputable company (DLP Tactical), instead of some $30-on-Amazon china-made knockoffs that will break easily and malfunction possibly also breaking your $1K headset in the process. These adaptors are also brand new, but I’m only adding $50 to total price package so you are still getting a great deal for quality mil-spec hardware.

(NOTE: This headset model is a “single comm”, which works fine for vast majority of purposes and people, even in the military. Some very specific personnel or other industries might need “double comm” headsets which support two radios hooked up to it simultaneously at the same time on two separate channels, but even for most soldiers in the field double comm is completely unnecessary and only adds more needless cons like more cumbersome wires, extra equipment, weight, battery demand, more failure points and operating complexity. This caution goes doubly so if you’re not in the military or LE.)
